Our History
Jubilee Christian Church International – Redemption Chapel is a proud member of the family of Jubilee Christian Church International, a worldwide inter-denominational Church with its headquarters in Abeokuta, Nigeria in West Africa. The Church was founded over 25 years ago by Reverend (Dr.) & Pastor (Mrs.) Adekunle Adesina with branches spreading across Africa, North America, Europe and the Caribbean Islands. Rev. Dr. Adekunle Adesina, General Overseer of Jubilee Worldwide was called many years ago with a mandate to “To see the gospel of Jesus preached in every continent of the world that men may be reconciled back to their Creator, liberated from the oppression of the devil and prepared for the second coming of Christ.”
Brother Pius and Sister Anthonia Okogie relocated to Atlanta, Georgia with their Children in 2001 and started worshipping at Jubilee Christian Church International-House of Glory in Stone Mountain, Georgia, under Pastor and Pastor (Mrs) Adebiyi. In the process of time, Brother Pius was ordained as a Pastor while Sister Anthonia was ordained as a Deaconness and later as a Pastor. In 2008, Pastor Pius Okogie was encouraged by Pastor Mike Adebiyi to step out and start a branch of Jubilee Christian Church in Mcdonough/Stockbridge cities of Georgia. He waited prayerfully until he received a confirmation and a go-ahead from God in 2010.
Sequel to the starting of the branch, Pastor & Pastor (Mrs) Okogie started a Bible Study class in Mcdonough, GA with some members of JCCI-House of Glory who could not attend the Wednesday Bible study in House of glory because of the distance, meeting every Thursday from 7:00pm-9:00pm. This Bible Study continued from April 10, 2010 to April 6, 2014 when JCCI-Redemption Chapel was inaugurated after over 13 years of service under the tutelage of Pastors Mike and Nike Adebiyi,
